7clouds' The Winners - Week 8, 2026

This week, the data tells a story of survival. Welcome to 7clouds' The Winners, a weekly series. As the ever-growing network that we are here at 7clouds, we'll be taking a look (and many different angles) into what has defined our brand for over a decade: Lyric YouTube videos. They are the core of who we are, and are a true part of our identity, spanning over 40 videos uploaded every single day across our various channels on the most watched platform in the history of the Internet.
On Wednesday, February 18th, a major global YouTube outage disrupted recommendation systems worldwide, preventing videos from appearing on homepages and in "Up Next" feeds. While this caused a network-wide cooling effect, a few select tracks managed to break through the digital silence.
In 7clouds' The Winners, every week we take a look at the seven best performing recent videos across our many channels, which span from Country and Chill, to Rock, Rap, R&B, and even countries like Italy, Argentina, Canada and Australia. The peculiarity of this series is that we rank the top videos based on how they've overperformed their neighbours in their specific channels. This means that, for example, for 7clouds Latin, we only compare its recent seven videos against themselves, and not against other channels, or by jugding only by viewcount alone. This allows us to have a clear picture of how well a video did against its local average. We represent this by an x. Meaning that if, for example, a video uploaded in a given week had 5,500 views in a channel with an average viewcount of 1,000, its value would be 5.5x.
Enough chitchat. Let's dive into this week's countdown.
7. 7clouds Indonesia: Glenn Fredly, Yovie Widianto - Kasih Putih (Lirik/Lyrics) | 6x
Starting our countdown in Southeast Asia, this Indonesian masterpiece proved its legendary status. Despite the platform's recommendation engine being offline, the sheer cultural weight of Glenn Fredly and Yovie Widianto drove nearly a quarter-million fans to seek this track out manually, securing a strong 6x multiplier against the odds.
6. 7clouds Phillippines: Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby - You Are The One (Lyrics) | 6x
A testament to the power of nostalgia. In a week where discovery was nearly impossible, this sentimental favorite maintained a 6x multiplier. It serves as a reminder that the 7clouds Philippines community remains one of our most dedicated and consistent demographics, regardless of technical hurdles.
5. 7clouds France: Céline Dion - Prière païenne (Paroles/Lyrics) | 6x
Legendary status meets data resilience. Céline Dion’s "Prière païenne" acted as a "safe haven" for our French audience during the blackout. While the algorithm struggled to suggest new hits, listeners returned to the timeless quality of Céline, sustaining a robust 132K views.
4. 7clouds Chill: Romeo Santos - Yo También (Letra/Lyrics) ft. Marc Anthony | 6x
Proving its incredible versatility, the salsa-bachata fusion of "Yo También" managed to thrive even in our lounge-focused Chill environment. Romeo Santos’s ability to draw 86K views during a global outage is a clear signal of his massive pull as a network-wide icon.
3. 7clouds Country: Romeo Santos - Yo También (Letra/Lyrics) ft. Marc Anthony | 6x
Highlighting the "Romeo Takeover" we saw earlier this week, the same track outperformed expectations on our Country channel. Securing a 6x multiplier with 131K views during a blackout proves that this specific collaboration is the "must-hear" anthem of the fortnight across all genre boundaries.
2. 7clouds Afrobeats: Ryan Castro - LA VILLA (Letra/Lyrics) ft. Kapo & Gangsta | 7x
Our runner-up is a modern viral phenomenon. Ryan Castro’s high-energy track proved to be "outage-proof," likely driven by massive social media sharing that bypassed YouTube's broken homepage. To hit a 7x multiplier in these conditions is a major win for the Afrobeats channel.
1. 7clouds Acoustic: Ruth B. - Dandelions (Lyrics) | 7x
Claiming the top spot for the second time this week, Ruth B. is officially untouchable. While the rest of the world saw blank homepages, over half a million fans found their way to "Dandelions". This is more than just a hit; it is a "Super-Catalyst" that has proven it doesn't need an algorithm to dominate.
As YouTube’s recommendation systems return to full strength, we expect next week’s numbers to return to their usual explosive levels. This week’s winners proved that great music doesn't need an algorithm to find its way to the fans—it just needs a loyal audience.
Monday will bring our next "Channel Spotlight." Will the Acoustic dominance continue into Week 09, or will a new challenger emerge from the blackout?
