7clouds Blog Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2025

7Clouds (”we,” “us” or “our”) operates the 7clouds Blog (the “Blog”) on the Webflow platform.  We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how we collect, use and protect personal information.  This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the choices you have, and the rights available to you.  Please review this page carefully to understand our practices.  By visiting the Blog, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

In general, a privacy policy should tell users what personal information is collected, how it is used and shared, and how to request deletion .  Consistent with this principle, we collect two types of information:

1.1 Information you provide voluntarily

  • Email addresses and contact details.  When you submit your email address through a subscription or contact form, we collect the email address you provide.  If you send us correspondence or subscribe to our newsletter, we may also collect your name or other contact details.  We use a third‑party email marketing service to store and manage subscription lists.  These services may also collect technical details such as IP addresses or device information in order to provide analytics and segmentation .  We rely on your consent to process your email address for marketing communications and you can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us.
  • Comments and other submissions.  If the Blog allows comments, any information you provide in a comment form is stored along with your IP address and browser details to help prevent spam .  An anonymised string (hash) of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to display an avatar; see the Gravatar privacy policy for details .  We collect and display the name or alias you supply with your comment.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log data and device information.  Our hosting provider (Webflow) automatically collects certain information through cookies, log files and similar technologies when you visit the Blog.  Webflow uses these tools to remember your preferences, provide personalised content, monitor performance and traffic patterns, diagnose problems and update the platform .  This information may include your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring/exit pages, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and analytics.  Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help recognise your browser and remember certain information.  We use only essential and functional cookies necessary for the Blog to operate.  We do not use advertising cookies or cross‑site tracking.  Webflow may set its own cookies to monitor aggregate metrics such as total visitor numbers and traffic patterns .  You can set your browser to refuse cookies, to delete cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is set; however, some parts of the Blog may not function properly without cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Blog and to communicate with you.  Specifically, we use your information for the following purposes:

  • To deliver the Blog and our services.  We use automatically collected information (log data, device information and cookies) to maintain the Blog’s security, prevent fraud, analyse performance and ensure the site functions correctly .
  • To send newsletters or updates.  If you voluntarily provide an email address, we use it to send the newsletter or information you requested.  Our third‑party email provider processes these emails.  You may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or contacting us.
  • To respond to inquiries.  If you contact us, we will use the information you provide to respond and keep records of our correspondence.
  • To comply with legal obligations.  We may use your information to meet legal or regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We collect only information that is necessary for these purposes and avoid collecting unnecessary data, in line with privacy‑policy best practices .  We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties .

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not share personal information except as described in this Policy.  We may share your information:

  • With service providers.  We use trusted service providers to host the Blog (Webflow) and to manage email subscriptions.  These providers process personal information on our behalf under confidentiality agreements and are not authorised to use your information for other purposes.  Webflow may collect information via cookies and log files to provide and monitor their platform .  Webflow hosts and processes data in the United States or other countries and uses contractual and technical safeguards when transferring data .
  • For legal reasons.  We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, for example to meet national security or law‑enforcement requirements .
  • To protect rights and safety.  We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, potential threats to personal safety, or violations of our terms.
  • With your consent.  We may share your information for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your consent.

We do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising or cross‑context marketing.  We may share aggregated or anonymised information (which cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual) for analytics or research purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Our legal bases for collecting and using personal information include:

  • Consent.  We rely on your consent to process your email address for newsletters or marketing communications.  You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
  • Legitimate interests.  We process certain data to operate the Blog, improve our services, ensure security, and prevent fraud.  These interests do not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligations.  We may process data to comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as responding to lawful requests or court orders.
  • Contract performance.  If you enter into a contract with us (for example, by purchasing products or services), we process data as necessary to fulfil that contract.

5. International Transfers

The Blog is hosted on Webflow’s infrastructure in the United States.  Consequently, your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where Webflow or its service providers maintain facilities .  Webflow uses contractual and technical safeguards to protect data transferred internationally .  By using the Blog, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions, which may have data‑protection laws that differ from those of your country.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy or to comply with legal requirements.  Specifically:

  • Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them to provide the requested service.  When you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from our mailing list but may retain a minimal record of the request to honour your opt‑out.
  • Log files and analytic data are retained for a limited period to monitor and improve the Blog’s performance and security.  Webflow retains personal information necessary to provide the platform and may retain it further to comply with its legal obligations .
  • Comments and form submissions are retained as long as the associated blog post or correspondence remains online, or as otherwise required by law.  You may request removal of your data as described below.

We will delete or anonymise personal information when it is no longer needed.  Aggregated or anonymised data may be retained for analytics or research purposes.
