Concert discovery service Bandsintown has released its 2025 ‘High Notes’ report, analyzing data from 8 billion events, 100 million fans, and 700,000 artists on its platform.

Music Ally comments the report reveals a significant 65% surge in trap music, making it the fastest-rising genre of the year. The report also notes a substantial 37% rise for shoegaze. Overall, rock charted as the number one genre for fan engagement.

Bandsintown’s list of top five rising artists included Sombr, Lola Young, Jennie, Doechii, and Ella Langley. Established artists who gained the most new followers were Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar. Meanwhile, on the venue spectrum, Red Rocks Amphitheater secured the top spot for the most event RSVPs, new followers, and views. Lollapalooza Chicago was highlighted as the festival with the most views and ticket clicks. The data also showed a notable trend of fans traveling for live music, with a 32.6% increase compared to 2024.

Here at 7clouds, Trap has also shown an uptrend: the official 7clouds Trap YouTube Channel currently harbors over 120,000 subscribers, and its most popular videos, Travis Scott's 'FE!N', and Ogryzek's 'AURA', are well into the eight-digit-view territory, with 25 and 14 million views, respectively.
