In what she describes as a "rebellious" holiday gesture, Lady Gaga has announced the global premiere of her new concert film, 'Lady Gaga in Harlequin Live — One Night Only'. The film is scheduled to debut on her official YouTube channel at 4 p.m. PT on December 24, 2025. The production captures an intimate, one-off performance held at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles on September 30, 2024, where Gaga performed her jazz-infused soundtrack album Harlequin in its entirety for a select group of fans.

The Harlequin album, which served as a companion piece to the film Joker: Folie à Deux, has remained a critical highlight of Gaga's recent output, earning a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the upcoming 2026 Grammy Awards. During a recent discussion at the Grammy Museum, Gaga explained the delay in the film’s release, noting that she and her team wanted the "lore" of the exclusive Belasco performance to grow within the fan community before sharing it with the world. The setlist features soulful reinterpretations of classics like 'That’s Entertainment' and 'When the Saints Go Marching In', as well as the original track 'Happy Mistake'.

Sustained Momentum on the Mayhem Ball Tour

The Christmas Eve release arrives in the midst of a massive professional year for the singer. Gaga is currently headlining the Mayhem Ball Tour, an 87-show arena trek that began in July 2025 in support of her seventh studio album, Mayhem. The tour, which has already grossed over $230 million, has been a hotbed for creative evolution; Gaga recently revealed to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that she has been writing a significant amount of new material while on the road, inspired by the nightly energy of her "Little Monsters."

The tour’s theatrical production, divided into distinct acts, has seen several updates since its launch, including the addition of the single 'The Dead Dance' to the setlist in late 2025. With dates scheduled through April 2026, the Mayhem Ball continues to cement Gaga's status as a dominant live force, recently breaking records with a free performance in Rio de Janeiro that drew an estimated 2.5 million spectators.
